I
work as a medical assistant for a busy walk-in clinic
where there is only one procedure/minor surgery room. Most of the instruments
and supplies are housed in that room.
I needed a suture removal kit for one of our patients who
was in another exam room. The door to the surgery room was shut, so I knocked
first, making sure I would not interrupt a sterile procedure.
“Is anyone sterile in there?” I asked.
“No. Not yet. But he will be soon,” Dr. Green replied.
I found out what procedure the doctor was performing: a
vasectomy.
